  • Documents destined for use in Cuba must be translated into Spanish by a notarized translator. Both documents (the original and the translation) must be properly notarized by a commissioned notary public and certified by the Secretary of State in the same state where the notary is licensed.
  • Cuba Embassy requires a copy of the signer’s ID card and Passport (the first two pages) or driver license to legalize documents from Cuba Embassy. Please include a copy of the signer ID Card and passport (the first 2 pages) or driver license as required by the embassy of Cuba.

2. Documents issued by Federal Entity

A federally issued document must be original and issued by one of the federal agencies in the United States such as: FDA, USPTO, USDA, DHS, SSA, EPA or IRS.The document must be translated into Spanish. Then, get the translated copy notarized by local notary and certified by DC Government.

  • Legalization from Embassy of Cuba in Washington DC.
